K4 Teacher – Long Term Substitute (50% job share) (3 months)

We are seeking a faith filled, motivated Early Childhood teacher to support our 4 year old kindergarten students for a three month period of time, starting in August. This teacher will collaborate with another 50% job share teacher. This dynamic individual should be dedicated to assisting parents in the development of each child’s God-given potential through the implementation of best practices, experienced in WMELS, able to support the various needs of 4 year olds in a play-based, exploratory learning environment. The candidate should be well-versed in WMELS, and comfortable using technology as a means of communication and instruction. Supporting the mission and objectives of St. John Vianney and providing instruction within a positive, supportive, and faith-filled environment are also necessary criteria

Recess Supervisor – 2 positions

This dynamic individual should be dedicated to the following responsibilities:

Guiding and Supporting students during recess
Leading our students in a prayer at the conclusion of recess 
Working on all days that school is in session from 12:00pm to 1:00pm (primary) or from 12:30pm-1:00pm (intermediate)
Supporting students in our Virtue culture during recess
Collaborating with main office by walkie communication to support students
Assisting students with any needs during recess

Hired personnel will participate in a mandatory Recess Supervisor Training session to cover recess expectations and safety protocols

Qualifications

Our ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • faith filled
  • have experience with and finds joy in working with school aged children
  • ability to problem solve situations with students calmly and compassionately
  • ability to use a walkie to communicate with other school personnel in support of students

Lunch Room Assistant

This dynamic individual should be dedicated to the following responsibilities:

  • Guiding and Supporting students during lunch time
  • Leading our students in a prayer of blessing 
  • Working on all days that school is in session from 11:00am to 1:00pm
  • Developing and managing lunch room protocols
  • Collaborating with food service personnel to ensure an enjoyable lunch experience for all students
  • Set up and tear down of lunch room, including table washing, floor sweeping, and setting up/putting away tables.
  • Assisting students with any needs during the lunch period

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Faith filled, comfortable praying with children
  • Enjoys working with school aged children, K3-8th grade
  • Finds satisfaction in making the lunch experience a joyful, safe, and caring experience for all children
  • Eager to collaborate with a lunch team to serve our students’ needs
  • Able to do some manual labor, including table set up, washing tables and sweeping floors

Band/Instrumental Instructor (Part Time, 40%)

 St. John Vianney
Catholic School, a K3-8th grade school with approximately 280 students, has an
opening for a part time (40%) Band/Instrumental Instructor to inspire 4th-8th
grade students in music appreciation and performance. St. John Vianney is
located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. We are looking for a dynamic individual who
is confident offering individual lessons and group rehearsals to 4th-8th grade
students as a Part Time (40%) Band/instrumental Instructor. We currently have
approximately 35 students engaged in our band programming and three
instrumental groups – intermediate, and advanced bands as well as a Jazz band.
The ideal candidate is engaging and able to provide innovative instruction to
students of various learning abilities and styles. This person will join a
highly skilled music team consisting of Orchestra, General Music/Vocal and Band
Programming. St John Vianney has a reputation for high quality musical
programming, consisting of individual lessons with highly qualified instructors
and full group/band rehearsals. We offer three performances annually (Fall
Fest, Christmas Concert and Spring Music/Art Show). The music team collaborates
in planning and presenting these engaging, family friendly musical programs to
celebrate our students’ growth in their musical understanding and ability.

We are flexible and willing to hire directly or enter into a
contract with a candidate who owns a private studio/business .

faith-filled, academically challenging, and emotionally supportive learning
environment. This person will join our team in implementing research based,
best practice, personalized to our learners’ needs and skills, guided by state
standards as defined in essential learning targets. Our candidate will partner
with families as close partners, communicating frequently important feedback
about our students’ growth. This teacher must have verification that they have
completed the “Safeguarding All of God’s Family” training or the willingness to
obtain it.
