Mrs. Joan Donahue has worked at SJV for almost six years, but has been a parish member and volunteer for 21 years. She is a widow with two grown children, Michelle, and stepson, Ryan. She is also grandmother to Riley, a current SJV second grader. Riley has been at SJV for three years and loves it very much! Mrs. Donahue loves to read, cook, bike, walk and swim. Nature is where she finds her peace. Mrs. Donahue loves children and worked for Mary Linsmeier Montessori School and also ran a home daycare while her children were young. Her experience with small children can be summed up best by saying, laughter leads to learning. She is really looking forward to the new school year and to meet her new students and families.
Personal Goals: To make K3 a wonderful learning experience. There is so much a child begins to learn at this age. They learn about sharing, kindness, teamwork and personal accomplishments. It is so exciting to see children learn new things. Most importantly, attitude is everything. When children see teachers excited about learning, it becomes a domino effect. We whould all want to learn and grow out entire life. So, being enthusiastic is teaching small children the true joys of learning. This will definitely open many doors to success. "Remember that nothing is small in the eyes of God. Do all that you do with great love." - St. Therese of Lisieux
