As Saint John Vianney Parish embarks on its annual stewardship renewal, we ask you to reflect on our renewal theme…We Are.
There are many ways that the members of God’s family live and give of self. It can be seen through prayerful and regular participation at daily or weekly Mass; through giving of our financial contributions to support the Parish, Archdiocese and outreach programs; and by service to others via the large number of ministry opportunities available at Saint John Vianney Parish.
These prospects for service form the core of our parish, whether reaching out to those in need, assisting in prayer and worship, serving as a guide for lifelong Christian formation or education, or leading as a standing committee member or similar role. There is a place for every parishioner, young and old…to which ministry or ministries are you called to give of self? Our prayer is that you consider how you can help, as there is always room for more participants across all ministries. To those who already are active in ministry, please accept a large measure of thanks. Your contributions of your time and talent provide a wonderful example of responding to God’s love as you give of self and make stewardship a way of life.
Recruitment and involvement in our ministries is an ongoing process throughout the year. With the restructuring of parish committees and implementation of a Common Leadership Night, committees and boards recruit for new members in late spring through a nomination process whereas other ministries recruit during winter, summer or fall—prior to their ministry’s active time.
In November, the parish celebrates Commitment Sunday, the annual renewal for members to commit time, talent and treasure to the parish. Members pray and reflect on the gifts God has given and consider joining / rejoining at least one or more ministries. New parish members are invited to select a ministry to share their talents.

Father All-powerful, your gifts of love are countless and your goodness infinite.
We come before you with gratitude for your kindness: open our hearts to concern for our fellow
men and women, so that we may share your gifts in loving service.
