This year Christmas will be one to remember…

Christmas is a season of celebration, and Covid can’t stop us from celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At St. John Vianney, we will continue to be one faith community.

For this year’s schedule of Christmas Masses, we have added three additional Masses in our school’s Activity Center to allow for more of our parishioners and guests to worship in person. With limited capacity and the continued concern for safety in this pandemic, we are blessed to also offer an online Christmas Mass experience.

Reservations will be required for all in person Masses (see times below). We have 225 seats available in our church for each Mass time and in our Activity Center, we are allowing for table reservations with each table seating 9 guests. If you are a family of 4, consider reserving a table and inviting another family to join you!

Advent

Our culture tends to jump into Christmas mode the day after Halloween, often sending us into an exhausted frenzy. However, the truth is that we have a limited time and resources to prepare for Christmas, on top of dealing with normal life issues that don’t go on hold, just because the holidays are here.  Advent is the season of hope. The season awakens in us the deepest desire of heart that life could be and should be better. This Advent let us look at the importance of hope as a Christian virtue and why hope doesn’t disappoint.

During this time of Advent, we continue to have Reconciliation for you on Saturday mornings after the 8:30 AM Mass.

‘tis the Season

Starting with Thanksgiving there are wonderful opportunities to serve and volunteer in the parish or in the community.  Share your talents  and serve as a family to make the season one for all to remember!

Angel Tree, All Saints, SVdP & Community Partners

Change the life of someone in our own community with our ministry connections.  Angel Tree (Prison Fellowship) giving opportunities and Food and Warm Clothing Drives with St. Vincent DePaul are just a couple of the many opportunities for you to help fellow parishioners and neighbors in need. Your generosity makes the world of difference.

Reserve Your Seat Beginning Dec. 1

Reserve your seat for Christmas Masses in the church or reserve a family table (seats up to 9)  for Christmas Masses in the School Activity Center.  We can’t wait to see you!

Invite Others

A church building can be an intimidating place to enter for the first time, but now churches around the world are bringing the Good News to people where they’re already at…on their devices. Even in this season, God is on the move, and we get to be a part of what He’s doing. You can help share the Good News by inviting others to stream our online Masses during Christmas. Remember to register and pick up your Christmas Eve Kit to enhance your worship experience online.
