Summer Service Series

St. John Vianney is very excited to once again offer our parishioners a wide variety of opportunities to become
involved with people whose life circumstances have been challenged in various ways.

In 2003, St. John Vianney parishioner Colleen Smith sought to help her children grow in their sense of service
to others. Together with Mark Peters, then Director of Human Concerns, they came up with the first Summer
Service Series. This would give people, with or without their children, a chance to participate in direct service
with others whose life circumstances were very different from theirs. That first year, six events were held with
great success.
