CLOW is Back!

CLOW is back starting October 1st!

An academic year ministry for all parish children is offered on Sunday at the 11:00 AM Mass. Children K4-4th grade are invited to participate, and no registration is needed. Parents are welcome to visit anytime, and we especially encourage you to bring your young ones for the first time or until they feel more comfortable.

What happens during the Children’s Liturgy of the Word?

After the opening prayer, the Presider calls forward the children and blesses them. The children follow their leader to the classroom where the Sunday Scriptures are read from the Children’s Lectionary; included are the Old Testament Reading, Responsorial Psalm, Gospel Acclamation, Gospel Proclamation, Reflection, Creed and the Prayers of the Faithful. Everyone returns to the assembly during the Presentation of the Gifts as together we continue to celebrate the Eucharist around the table as one family of faith.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word needs a few more adult leaders at the 11 AM Mass on Sundays. We are looking for volunteers who have a basic understanding of scripture, and a desire to share their Catholic faith with our youth. Won’t you consider being a leader in this program? We will help train you in this ministry. All volunteers who work with youth under the age of 18 must complete Safe Environment requirements. Please contact Janlyn Carvalho, 262-796-3944, ext. 1127, if you are able to assist.
