Angel Tree

Every child has a story.  For 2.7 million American children, that story is filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration.  Angel Tree, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of inmates and their families with the love of Christ.

When mom or dad is in prison, their children are often the silent sufferers. You can let them know they aren’t forgotten. You can give the child of a prisoner the joy of Christmas this year.

We need volunteers to:

Help SJV parishioners sign-out Angels

Receive gifts and organize

Deliver gifts to the children

We are in need of 6 volunteers per mass to help sign-out Angels on November 19 & 20, November 26 & 27 and December 3 & 4. In addition, we will collect gifts during mass on November 26 & 27 and December 3 & 4. We ask that volunteers come 15 minutes before mass and stay 20 minutes after mass.

During the day on December 11, we will prepare the gifts for delivery in the school cafeteria. Help is needed all day. Service hours are available!

If you are interested in any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact Beth Dobrzynski at 262-844-3742 or bethdobrzynski@me.com or sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A45A4AB2FA4FD0-angel2

Thanks to the many generous people in our parish, we delivered over 350 gifts to children of prisoners last Christmas!
