The Hogar Madre Del Redentor (Mother of the Redeemer) young women's home is a safe haven for girls aged 11-19 to keep them safe from the dangers of trafficking and abuse.
The young women who live at HMDR are full of energy, faith, and optimism! They attend school and live here year-round, and their families visit them during the year, as well. The home prepares the young women academically and spiritually for their adult lives ahead, securing them a safe and bright future.
The young women at HMDR go to class daily and learn skills such as sewing and cooking. They are very skilled in these trades, and each young woman has their own responsibility, taking her turn to cook for the rest of her fellow students/residents.
The young women at HMDR live in a large open dorm-style format. There are opportunities for recreation, with a volleyball court, a basketball hoop, a prayer garden, a pavilion and even a pet parrot, Pepe! Each young woman has her own bed and a locker for her belongings, and their personalities shines through!
The young women truly appreciate the gifts shared with them and HMDR. You are truly making a difference in their lives!
