Giving before year-end benefits both you and the parish. Your generosity enables SJV to meet its financial obligations and to carry out its mission.
You can still honor your Annual Stewardship Pledge to Saint John Vianney up to the last day of the year. The parish office is generally open until noon on December 31.
Donations to the parish can also be made by VISA or Mastercard either as a one time gift or on-going.
Charitable IRA Distributions Allowable for those 70½ and older
The Tax Relief Act just passed recently allows taxpayers 70½ and older to make IRA distributions directly to a qualified charity without including the distribution in gross income. This has now been extended THROUGH 2011.
Taxpayers can also elect to treat distributions made in January 2011 as if they were made in 2010.
We call this to your attention in the event that this program may fit in very well with your tax and estate planning and year-end.
