The next SJV Peru mission trip is being planned for January 11-20, 2018. An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 6:30 PM in the Presentation Hall. Would you like to be part of a life changing experience helping the poor in Peru? Join us to learn more about our annual mission trip to Santisimo Sacramento in Piura. No experience or skills needed except a giving heart and faith filled spirit! Help deliver food to families in the villages, build homes in a day, work with the children at vacation bible school, visit the SJV trade school, work with the girls in a nearby orphanage and so much more! You don’t have to be a medical person to go on the mission trip – though we do need those as well. For general mission trip questions, contact Julie Beres at email@example.com.
As part of the mission trip, the SJV surgical/medical mission team will be providing care to those who would otherwise not receive care. We will be doing hernia and carpal tunnel repairs a well as running orthopedic and preventative care dental clinics. We also help to provide care at the hospice and do homebound visits. If you would like to be a part of this mission we are looking for nurses, an anesthesiologist, and nurses with operating room experience. Please contact Michele Wallace for more information at 262-844-4583.
We also are collecting canes and walkers to be sent to Peru from July 29-August 10th. They can be dropped at the Parish Office or by contacting Mariann Van Winkle at 262-782-6493.
